When you look at what is offered as "support" for the endless aggravation and wasted time that people so often run into with some of the common slopware packages, often you can see the "support" person gives absolutely no evidence of having any diagnostic reasoning abilities. Sometimes the MVP's and the like are absolutely oblivious to simple straightforward clues that are screamingly obvious and continue blithering on with baseless suggestions about problems or sending people into protocols based on superficial guesswork ("try ..." "maybe ..." "if ... maybe" etc.). Some of these 'support' people come across as pathetic, cruising around the slopwareosphere marking questions as "answered" because they've sent the person needing help into some swamp of Knowledge Base articles, or mess of links, or some superficial guesswork of "try this, try that, maybe here, maybe there, search this, search that, maybe then, possibly if, you might want to try, or else try". Really, check out some of the childminds who are called 'support' 'professionals' of some sort and see how they cruise around the forums marking problems as "answered". If you read their statements, you can see a complete lack of ability with simple logic sometimes, and in many, many cases, absolutely no reason to think a question is actually answered, and, beyond that, seemingly no comprehension whatsoever that people need to work, and to have their computers functional, and not spend hours and hours and hours trying all sorts of things in the hopes that they will come across something that will make the slopware perform with basic reliability and stability. In real world jobs where people have to actually get things done, a lot of the valued 'support' people on these forums would be demoted to lesser jobs or fired quite quickly, and whoever put them in 'support' positions would be demoted or fired too. What's going on? Is it possible that management no longer knows that there is such a thing as diagnostic reasoning or related critical thinking abilities? Is it possible that management themselves has no concept of the kind of thinking that's needed, or no ability whatsoever to determine if a so-called 'support' so-called 'professional' has zero logical diagnostic thinking abilities, or both?
