We're having some problems with scheduled windows updates rebooting the users machines. We have our policy set to install updates from our wsus at 3pm every day. We also have these settings:
Allow Automatic Updates immediate installation = enabled
Allow non-administrators to receive update notifications = enabled
Delay Restart for scheduled installations = 30 min
No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations = enabled
Re-prompt for restart with scheduled installations = 240 min
The restart prompt seem to totally ignore the re-prompt policy and will re-prompt based on user input (usually 10 minutes). We also have a handful of users that will get the scheduled restart countdown.
I cant figure why these users are getting the scheduled reboot countdown and it is causing problems because the users cant stop it and dont contact us to tell them to do a shutdown -a
Any suggestions?
