Hi all.
I'm setting up a Windows 7 virtual machine and I have internet access working through the proxy our company uses, but no windows services that are online will connect. This includes windows update, system center endpoint protection updates or even the FixIt tool when it was trying to download some files to fix a problem.
Windows Update gives the error code 80072F78, the others either run forever or say they can't connect.
I have tried setting and clearing a proxy in WinHTTP to no avail. I have also restarted the BITS service.
Does anyone have any other ideas as to why windows online servers would fail?
