I was redirected to this forum by a support engineer as I'm on a domain network.
My bubbles screensaver is set to turn on after 10 min with logon displayed on resume. This is mainly a security feature in case I forget to log off or lock my PC (Win 7 Pro SP1). Also the display is set to turn off after 1 hour. About a week ago, the screensaver and the display turn off stopped working. There has been no hardware changes or software installed, but updates happen automatically and I don't have admin rights. The day before the problem happened there were Windows updates and Microsoft Office 2010 updates and maybe Sophos updates too as it runs in the background. I ran powercfg /requests on an elevated prompt and used the override command to disable everything till it showed 'none'. Ran sfc /scannow, no issues. Tried all the tricks, nothing works. I came across a registry fix that unhides the “Allow sleep with remote opens” option but I don't want it to sleep. Is there a reg fix to unhide the option to allow screensaver and turn off display with remote opens (assuming it is a remote program or driver preventing it)? I don't have a wireless mouse or keyboard or any usb devices plugged in except the printer, but that has always been plugged in without any issues.
