Internet Explorer Settings

Hope someone can help with this issue. At some point on our domain there was a group policy or a computer that was used to clone the OS that has some specific settings for Internet Explorer Proxy. There was an automatic configuration script which was pointing to a proxy server that is no longer here. The problem we are facing is if we manually remove the check mark next to automatic configuration script, it will stay unchecked. If for what ever reason we have to reset the IE settings, all the settings will return. We do not have a group policy applied to the machines that has those settings. We have gone as far as removing the machine from the domain, cleared out the settings and all the same settings return after I do a reset on IE again. Does anyone have any suggestions on where these settings might be coming from?

Thanks,

Gavin
