When I open a folder the address bar begins loading green from left to right. When I click on the arrows that should give you a drop down menu to navigate through the computer it says "Computing items". It never completes the computing and often
icons don't appear correctly. When I try to open my computer none of the hard drives or anything shows. Just a blank folder with the drop down menu of the address bar saying "Computing items" with a spinning circle and a red x next to it. I've performed
virus/malware scans and everything is ok. I've tried rebuilding the index and removing everything from the index and nothing has worked. I've also installed all of the windows updates and that hasn't helped either.
How do I fix this problem?
Running windows 7 home premium sp1 64bit.
