OK, Here are my questions:
1. I have an HP 1380t CTO system with UEFI BIOS. Why has MS not updated Win 7 OS and enabled successful creation of bootable CD/ DVD media using EFI? I cannot boot system to Win 7 recovery environment for the purpose of restoring an image created using Backup and Recovery in Control Panel. The Backup and Recovery applet is useless. Comparing files on a Win 7 Recovery CD to a Win 8 CD Recovery CD reveals missing EFI boot data. Why?
So, Win 7 Backup is useless with UEFI. Why?
2. MS was involved in the development of UEFI, why can't MS update Win 7 so it can create usable Bootable CD media for the purpose of restoring the operating system from backup images?
3. Therefore, any user, unable to use the imaging program provided in Win 7 , because UEFI is deployed, is being penalized for using Win 7 on a UEFI system. Why can't this be corrected, and if a fix is available, would somebody please tell me what that fix is?
