Hello,
I work at a firm where we use lots of Windows 7 machines, and yesterday during the night we experienced a power outage. Most of our PCs rebooted after the power came back on, and went straight to Windows 7 - this probably happened after the 'advanced boot options' time-out ran down. However, some of the PCs booted to the "Repair your Computer" console instead of Windows 7.
I'm trying to figure out what exactly would cause some of the PCs to boot to Windows normally, while others would go to the repair console. All the PCs receive the same WDS image, and should have most if not all new updates. I tried to find ways to change the default behavior, perhaps using BCDedit or Advanced startup options, but I could not find out how to do so, nor under what circumstances Windows 7 defaults to the repair console.
Any answers or insights regarding this would be appreciated!
