Two Bluetooth adapters (built-in plus USB)

In Windows 7, is it possible to have two Bluetooth adapters working at the same time?

This comes up in a case where a Bluetooth stereo headset (JayBird #JB-200) and a Bluetooth keyboard (Apple) work fine together, but when a Bluetooth mouse (Apple Magic Mouse or Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000) is added, the audio on the stereo headset cuts out and the mouse stutters.

It occurred to me that associating the mouse with a different Bluetooth adapter than the headset and keyboard might solve this.  Accordingly, I added a USB Bluetooth adapter (dongle) with a different Bluetooth stack (Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 USB) than used on the the built-in Bluetooth (Apple Broadcom Bluetooth).  However, the dongle won't start (error code 10).  I used two different stacks because I read the same stack can't be used on more than one radio.
