Hi all,
I am having a strange issue with remote desktop. First of all, I am on adomain at my company, and the computer of discussion is a Dell Latitude E5530 runningWindows 7 Pro, Service Pack 1. I am able to RDP from this laptop into any computer in the domain. But for some reason, I cannot RDP into this laptop from any computer. When I attempt to RDP into this laptop from another computer, I receive the message:
"Remote desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:
1.) Remote access to the server is not enabled
2.) The remote computer is turned off
3.) The remote computer is not available on the network
Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network and that remote access is enabled."
I have made sure that remote access is enabled and made sure my user account is allowed to access it. The remote desktop services are running and I have tried restarting them. One thing I am missing on this computer is RemoteFX, but I don't think that is preventing an incoming remote connection, because I am able to use this laptop to remotely connect to any other machine.
I apologize for any lack of clarity, this issue is difficult to describe non-verbally. I greatly appreciate any and all help!
