Windows Fax and Scan error

I get the following error when trying to forward a fax:

The message could not be sent.

The printer name is invalid.

The Windows 7 client is set up to use WFS Fax server on our network.  Another symptom is that it takes about a minute for the dialog window to open, where we type the number to forward the fax to.  There is another user on the network that does not have these issues.  perhaps this is a permission problem?  Any help will be appreciated.
