Windows 7 Enterprise domain account issue: Black screen with only mouse cursor after logon.

Hello community members,

I've got the issue about half of the month ago. It relates to Windows 7 Enterise logon using my domain account. I asked this question once before on Microsoft Answers and seemed to find a solution. Although it worked for me for a week or so but in the end I've got the sama problem once again. So I decided to ask this very question here at IT Pros becouse one of the Microsoft answers members recommended me to post the question here.

The problem:

After I log on to my Workstation running Windows 7 Enterprise x64 I get a black screen with only mouse cursor present. No task manager can be populated so I can only perform either hard reboot or log on remotely with local administrator credentials and force the system to restart. I tried to revert to an earlier system state with "Previous Versions" feature. It helped for a while but anyway I ended up with a black screen again in a week. Next I tried to delete my domain account profile from the problematic Workstation through profile management dialog box. it said that the profile folder couldn't be removed completedly becouse it contained files. I opened the folder via Explorer window and saw there nothing inside. But the profile was removed so I deleted the folder manually. Next I logged on to using my domain credentials and and everything worked fine untill in about a week I got the same black screen once again. The thing that I noticed is that the problem arises mainly after I had several VPN sessions with secure auth using ActivIdentity smart-card device. RPC service logon rights seemed to be ok - I checked it out.

Does anybody have some ideaas? Any help is appreciated.

Sincerely yours, Alexander Chernyaev.
