We are migrating our PC environment from XP- 32bit over to Windows 7- 64 bit
When our local site support users (testing win 7 devices) try to connect to a networked printer queue (to clear out a stuck queue, restart, delete jobs, etc) it says "Connecting to "printerABC" on 'printserverABC", Windows Printer Installation. Checking Windows Update, then errors out at "No driver found on the network".
Do we need to have all the appropriate Windows 7 Printer Drivers installed on the print server BEFORE they can even get into a print queue? It certainly sounds like we do, as it seems that when connecting to the printer to look at the queue it installs the printer drivers locally.
Any help would be great.
Thanks!
