Hi
I recently downloaded a copy of Windows 7 Pro (from my University for free) on a new PC build. Here are its specs if you need them:
Intel 4670k, 8 gb ram, 650 watt PSU, 50gb OCZ Vertex SSD, AsRock Z87 Pro3, and another 250 gb HDD.
After installing Windows, I kept getting an error like this:
______________________________________________________________
---------.exe encountered a validation error
process name: ---------.exe
Module name: KERNELBASE.dll
Assert offset: [Some random numbers/letters]
______________________________________________________________
Now, I felt this could be a corrupt ISO (I made a bootup USB), so I remade the ISO and tried again. No luck.
I thought this could be a corrupt download, so I redownloaded the copy of Windows 7. No luck
People are saying that that is the debugged version which shouldn't be downloaded, so I can redownload the standard version of Windows, but can't I just download a Service Pack to fix that?
Or is that not my problem? Then what is?
Thanks for any help
PS: This is a valid copy of Windows, with a valid product key.
