UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

I was using the laptop just fine for most of the morning watching Sunday Ticket.

Afterword,  I noticed there were 12 MS updates available, so like a dummy I started the install and walked out for a smoke.  When I got back, the laptop was showing the blue Win 7 desktop background and a somewhat larger pointer arrow than normal.  Other then that, there were no icons, no start button,  nothing.

So I restarted and noticed it was blue screening.  The BSOD is UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.

I followed the other recommended fixes...ran chkdsk /R C:  and also bootrec /fixboot  Tge chkdsk had no errors and the bootrec completed successfully.

The error code is:  STOP:  0X000000ED (0XFFFFFA80048A0060, 0XFFFFFFFFC0000185, 0X0000000000000000, 0X0000000000000000)

I also tried to do a repair from the Win 7 Install disk.  No luck there either.

Ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Ray
