Hi,
In our institute, we have 100+ machines with Windows 7 OS installed. To ensure, the proper functioning of the machine and avoid Hard disk getting filled up by user profiles, we had implemented the guest profile on those machine as below.
1. Added a common group (named as StudGROUP, created in Active Directory) in all machines Guests group.
2. Added all students login id to this group StudGroup.
By this, we are able to achieve the deletion of the local user profiles, when the students logoffs/restart the machines. This was helped us a lot of reducing the issues like Antivirus updates issue/security patch installation issue due to no free space.
But recently, we have observed that in many machines, the user profile root folder (i.e. example as C:\Users\Sudheep), won't get deleted, but sub-folders/files.
Is there any solution to delete complete profile folders, when logoff/restart happens ? Please note that, we cannot use any 3rd party software for the user profile cleanup, because such kind of software restricted to use. Awaiting for a best solution, which can be implemented in OS level.
Regards
Sudheep
