Windows 7 SP1 w/RDP8 enabled, no USB redirection.

I am running in a problem with USB redirection.

The environment is a Windows 7 SP1 VDI running in Hyper-V as the host.

Clients are two Windows 7 SP1 workstations and a Windows 8 Enterprise workstation.

On the Windows 7 workstations, I have installed RDP 8 and the hotfixes outlined at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2013/04/09/get-the-best-rdp-8-0-experience-when-connecting-to-windows-7-what-you-need-to-know.aspx

I have enabled RDP 8 in local group policy located at Computer\Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Remote Desktop Services\ Remote Desktop Session Host\ Remote Session Environment and rebooted.

One of the W7 machines is a Thinkpad running the factory installed Windows 7 SP1.

The second W7 is a Dell desktop that has a fresh Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 using our corporate license.  I have performed the same steps to enable RDP 8 on that workstation.

The test printer is an HP Photosmart 7520 using the latest drivers downloaded from HP on both the host and the clients.

On Windows 8, USB redirection works perfectly.  We can print and scan from the device.

On both Windows 7 workstations, we are not seeing the printer icon in the toolbar up top and the HP software does not see the device.  Printing works through traditional redirection.  We need to be able to scan.

In the traditional remote desktop options screen under More, the device (or any USB device on either machine) shows up.

Any help would be appreciated.
