We have a client that has a brand new PC that they are trying to setup a backup to a network location using the Backup and Restore feature in Windows 7. This PC has never had a backup run before using this tool. When attempting to run the backup they immediately get the error message "The system cannot find the path specified. error 0x80070003". This error also shows up in the Event Viewer but does not show any other data than this.
I have logged on with a domain admin account and tried to run the backups with the same result. I can create folders and files on the network location without issue, but have also tried another network location with the same result with both accounts.
I have also tried it while running a "clean boot". I have cleared the System Restore files and ran a check disk with no change. I have attempted to change the backup settings from "Let Windows choose" to "Let me choose" and as
soon as I click next I get the same error.
I have scoured through Google and this site with no luck. Does anyone else have any ideas I might can try? Any help would be appreciated.
