How to tell if Disk Management Mirrored drives are the same and healthy?

Raid 1 mirroring is configured in my Windows 7 Pro desktop in disk management with two, 2TB drives.  Both drives have the same used/free space. Everything appears healthy. 

DISKPART> list disk

  Disk ###  Status         Size     Free     Dyn  Gpt

  Disk 1    Online         1863 GB    13 GB   *

Q:  Is there a way to compare the 2 drives to verify the mirror is identical?

Q:  What kind of warning message would I get if one drive failed. (I've heard there's no warning for drive failure).
