Multiple Screens via USB hub

Dear everyone,

We are a 4 Danish musicians who bought 4 Lenovo LT 1421 monitors, as we have read thatyou can connect up to 6 monitors to a PC via a USB hub. Our aim is to mirror the pc’s  screen on the extra 4 monitors. Unfortunately we cannot get this to work. We've approached Microsoft, HP and Lenovo in Denmark, and no one can offer an explanation or solution.  Lenovo in Denmark was not even aware that there was such a thing as USB screens, and we were told that it was our  own problem, which I suppose is right, but it does not solve our problem.

We have tested this on Windows 7, and 8 – and those 2 operating systems will only accept 1 extra monitor with mirror function, and the ability to select mirror display for further displays is not possible. If we connect the monitors to an older PC with Windows XP, we can get mirror mode on all 4 monitors; but then we have the problem that it is not 1366 x768 resolution.

We now have 4 useless screens that work only with an older operating system; but do not work with any of the newer OS (i.e. WINDOW 7 AND 8). We tested further with a Lenovo 15.6 "PC AMD E1-2100; but it cannot cope with mirror function on more than one display. What can we do - we are very frustrated.

The product would work nicely for us who want to be free of vulnerable VGA cables and power supplies for each monitor; but we need it to work properly.

Would anyone be able to offer a solution to this problem? Is there a way of showing mirror display on more than one screen with n Window 7 or 8.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks and best regards

Kat DK
