Why does my window update history list 11 updates install status as PENDING?

graded the operating system (OS) on this computer from Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit to Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. After the new OS was installed on this computer, the next step required that I run Windows Update. More than 150 updates were downloaded. Most of the updates were installed successfully, however, a few failed to install. The "Failed" updates were later downloaded and installed successfully. There were eleven (11) updates that were label as  "Pending", and was not effected by the running of Windows Update a second or third time. The Status of the "Pending" updates is still "Pending". My question is: "How do I get these Pending updates install successfully? The Importance ratings of 7 of the 11 Pending Updates  is "Recommended" and the other four are listed as "Important". The error code that appears when I click the details button is 80242014.   The Pending Updates are listed below.
