so help me solve an argument with my manager...
I was under the impression that Updates in Windows 7 no longer utilized trusted sites whatsoever, not that the manager is in place.. he insists that it still does utilize the trusted sites feature to pass updates through (insisting that it was my addition of our external facing sharepoint site that "broke" updating on one or more of our servers)...
can anyone point me to a high level explination of exactly how windows update now work and run (which services they use, layer three connections, etc... ) so that I can settle this once and for all? Given it's not the first time he's tried to explain something to me using functionality that hasn't been used since 2005 - 2008, but I want to be definative about this...
