I'm having serious issues with the Task Scheduler. When I open up the Task Scheduler, I get a message that says
The selected task "{0}" no longer exists. To see the current tasks, click Refresh.
If I click Refresh it just keeps showing me the same message. I'm also missing all of the standard windows scheduled tasks in the list. It also tells me when I click Display All Running Tasks the following message
Task Scheduler Service is not available. Verify that the service is running.
The task appears to be running just fine. I've tried restarting the service by opening windows powershell as administrator and running
net stop "Task Scheduler"
but I get an Access Denied error 5.
What is going on with Task Scheduler? How can I resolve these problems? Is there anyway to install the base set of Windows Scheduled Tasks without reinstalling windows?
