question about the screen in latops and computers.

hi,

I have replaced many times screen of latops. I know that screen has 3 main components.

inverter,backlight,transformer.  now I looked in youtube how you can change inverter. so  I opened the screen to see if I can see the inverter ,but I couldn't see anything besides the screen itelf.  now my questios is ,

is the inverter and backlight is in the screen itself ?  can you open the screen or it is dangerous?

second in desktop monitors is the inventer and backlight  is also in the screen orit is   in the monitor?
