I am trying to remove password/ leave blank. Attempted with "Remove password" from control panel and Ctrl+Alt+Delete>change password. I can set password to something, but that's not the issue for me. How do I remove it? Delete password? Where else could this policy be configured at besides Local Policy if never connected to network? I have ran the gpupdate /force after changing the settings below back and fourth. Have logged off/on, restarted numerous times. Have used several net commands that appear to work but when I log off, the old password is still active. This machine has never been online or seen a network! Is running a Windows repair the next step? Security is not an issue for me, this machine after the problem is solved will be updated then never connect to the internet again. Just for an operator of a machine.
When trying to change password I get the message "Unable to update the password. The value provided for the new password does not meet the length, complexity, or history requirements of the domain". Here are the settings of my policy:
Enforce password history: 0
Max Age: 0
Min Age: 0
Min Length: 0
Password must meet complexity req.: Disabled
Store passwords using reversible encryption: Disabled
