Currently my HP desktop (Windows 7) is stuck in a constant loop............

............Before that, I had a problem with the IE not operating properly (suspected causes were possibally : ROOTKIT.SIREFEF.SPY, and/or TROJAN.FAKE.AD-DOWNLOAD).  After that, for the first-ever I was not able utilize the SYSTEM RESTORE feature because it was mysteriously disabled!  And then when I was able to enable it, however, it did not display any restore points prior to the occurance that started this sequence of unfortunate events!  One more problem that made it even more difficult to resolve this issue.  When using any/all of the repair features available in SAFE MODE or after inserting any of the various operating system discs that I had,  I do not remember if I chose a password in BIOS (at the time of my purchase of my HP) or if I did, what that password was.  I was just wondering what options i have regarding this issue, if any!
