Windows Search is up and running apparently.
I have done all the setup in "Indexing Options" discussed in other posts. My directories are selected etc. Yes I have confirmed my directories and file types are selected. There are no errors in the Indexing Options setup.
I have rebuilt the indexes as discussed many times. Indexing starts and indexes approximately 100 to 300 files then quits with message indexing complete. I have 10's of thousands of files in the selected file paths.
My issues is that the index background job either never runs or gets stopped. I will occasionally find the index has advanced several files but never anywhere near to a complete run. I would say I have less than 1% of my files indexed.
Selecting rebuild indexes only sets the index back to 100 or so files indexed but never gets anywhere near complete.
I need a way to force search to completely index my files or a utility/App.
Google Search was a good option in the past by now but is apparently not supported anymore. I have not found any utilities that will search in my files.
