I have a (reproducible) BSOD after enabling RDP 8.1 in Windows 7. I can reproduce this error on multiple VMs even with the February 2014 RDP patches. If there are any workarounds, I'd like to hear them, but the only thing that has worked for me is to disable RDP 8.1 by reverting the changes in the KB article.
You need the following:
1. Server somewhere running ruTorrent web interface
2. Workstation A with RDP 8.1 client
3. Workstation B with Windows 7 and RDP 8.1 enabled
Steps to reproduce:
1. From Workstation A, RDP into Workstation B. Verify that RDP 8.1 is enabled ("The quality of the connection to the remote computer is excellent and UDP is enabled")
2. Launch Google Chrome.
3. From Chrome, go to the website of Server running ruTorrent.
4. Sort your list of torrents, navigate, add, delete, etc. Change the focus from the app to explorer, and/or on/off of the actual RDP session itself. This should BSOD the workstation within a couple of minutes of effort.
I've reproduced this on multiple workstations, Safe Mode or otherwise. You'll get something like:
