I need to uninstall IE 11 - roll back to IE 10 - on several computers because of a McAfee SaaS problem (they don't yet "support" IE 11). Worked fine the usual way in most of the Win7 x64 machines: Control Panel/Programs and Features choose View Installed Updates, find IE 11, and uninstall (then reboot).
ONE computer this does NOT work - it says the uninstall failed. I have tried rebooting, turning off McAfee, I found several "alternate" methods in Internet searches including a Microsoft Hotfix KB947821, some scripts or registry changes that supposedly uninstall IE 11 (rolling back to IE 10.
ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THEM MADE A DIFFERENCE - IE 11 REMAINS INSTALLED.
How do I get rid of this program - and yes - the first thing I did was UNcheck the box in IE 11 to "install new versions automatically." This is MADDENING.
