Been scanning through various documents and posts on licensing with VDI. I understand that if a user is accessing a Windows virtual desktop on a server from a non-Windows device then the user must have VDA. If the user is accessing the VDI from a corporate Windows PC then the PC must have Software Assurance. What I do not know is does the VM requires its own license and does that instance also require software assurance? This would result in 2 Windows Licenses and 2 SA subscriptions per user.
Thanks for clearing up the confusion.
