Hi, I've had this sudden problem when starting up my Windows 7 OS a few days ago.
When I start up my computer, it takes a very long time to get to the login screen, and there is a lot of latency when typing in my password to log in. The fingerprint strip on my laptop that I usually use does not work here. The welcome screen shows and freezes for about 2 minutes and then all I get is a white screen and a cursor. I never see any of my desktop, and if I ctrl+alt+del, there is no response.
Although it is just as slow to start as before, safe mode works perfectly which is what I am using now. I have tried to run a system restore, but it changes nothing.
In short, startup is incredibly slow and any attempt to run in normal mode hits a dead end immediately.
I would appreciate some help solving this issue.
