I have a user that is having an odd problem. She has three displays including the laptop display however when I go into display properties, there is a 4th and it is active. Sometimes dialog boxes or applications open on this unviewable display. I am able to access items on this phantom display when i control her machine remotely using VNC. So far I have been unable to find a way to permanently disable it. Right now I have her going into the display properties every morning and selecting"disconnect this display" and she is able to work fine until she has to restart, then it comes back.
Machine details: Dell Latitude E6520, i7-2760QM 2.4 ghz, 8 GB RAM, nvidia NVS 4200M video card, Win 7 Pro x64
