unable to paste

I am unable to paste anywere, I could but I think it is since an update ran I am no longer able to.  Cut and Copy are not greyed out but paste is, this is in Windows Explorer trying to cut and paste a file from one folder to another or from an Outlook document to an Access text field or Wordpad to Word07 or from and too the same text document.  I can cut in Word07 but cannot paste it back
I have not made any changes my self to the system so can some one give me an idea of what I need to do  to correct this please.
