Map LTP port issue

So we have a mapped network drive for lpt2 to \\servername\labelprinter because the driver for the lable printer will only work with lpt ports

this works for all of our domain computers except two of them. This is applied via a startup script through group policy.

Two of our computers are showing the port as disconnected when I type in the "net use" command.

All other computers are still working fine.

I have tried:

*deleting and recreating the mapped drive

*disabling firewall on server

*deleting all drive maps and then "gpupdate /force" and log back in - still the same problem

*Accessing shares through windows explorer - I am able to browse through files and i can see the shared printer

I also tried mapping a different drive letter to a normal file share on the server I am trying to access and it gives me "error 52" this leads me to believe it is something between these computers. I am not sure what though.

All computers are running windows 7 pro(including the one with the printer attached to it) and joined to the same domain, all other mapped drives are working fine and can map new drives to other shares on other PCs/servers.

Any ideas?
