ChassisTypes setting & Keyboard Key Mappings

Dell Inspiron 1525, Intel GM965 Chipset, 4GB DDR2, BIOS A17, Vista x64 Home OEM

When typing, the "U" key and the "O" key act as arrow keys and so do the other keys that have the number on them. If I hold down the Fn key, they act normal and when I use the NUM lock, it inputs numbers.

"wmic systemenclosure get chassistypes" on all my other laptops output:

ChassisTypes
{10}

From what I understand, that corresponds to "Laptop."

However on the Dell Inspiron 1525 returns:

ChassisTypes
{8}

This corresponds to "Portable."

How do I change or force the chassistypes parameter "10" or fix the problem with keyboard mappings ?

It is a US keyboard configuration.

Windows Regional and Language options are set to US location, English (US) locale, "US" for keyboard and languages, English US for Text Services and Input Languages, US Default for Installed Services, US Default layout configuration.

Thank you for your time.
