I'm using a product that is a Device control. I have two policies for my computers. One for the Admin group and one for the Users group.
When I log in as an Admin my policy allows me to see the Device. I'll log out and Log in as a User and then the policy applies and I cannot see the device but this is enforced in policy so this is working the way I have my policy setup.
The problem is, is when I log out the User and log back in as an Admin which the policy allows me to see the Device. I cannot see the device anymore.
Why doesn't the CD storage Device re-enable when I log in as Admin. The filter driver isn't applied anymore and I tried a Scan for Hardware in the Device Manager and Windows will not re-enable the device. The only time it will re-enable is when I do a reboot which this should happen because all the drivers have been reset to load in the hardware stack.
