Hi,
I am getting conflicting information from our corporate Licensing people and our Microsoft reseller, so would like some guidance please..
We have a bunch of traveling users who's windows licenses, cal etc are all purchased out of the UK office.. and are included as part of any true ups etc..
very soon we are thinking about creating an office in a location central to where they spend most of their time now (no longer the UK office, but they will still spend a majority of thier time on the road).. my questions are...
If I connect this remote office to our corporate network via MPLS, ie so always connected, and we get the users to use this office as their base, i am told i will have to purchase more licences for these users as its will be a new site in a new country..?
If i just provide them a basic Internet circuit, and permit them to VPN in to our corporate hq, we can continue to regard them as remote users and no additional licensing is required..?
Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks
Chris
