Does the Mouse and Keyboard Center require .NET Framework 4 Client Profile on Windows 7?

I tried asking this question on Microsoft Community Forums but noone was able to confirm the answer with certainty.

I'm running a new 64-bit Windows 7 system.  A few weeks ago, I installed the Mouse and Keyboard Center using Windows Update.  A few days later, I happened to check my installed programs in the Control Panel and, to my surprise, I noticed that .NET Framework 4 Client Profile was listed as an installed program.  I was surpised because I had hidden .NET Framework 4 Client Profile when it had been explicitly offered by Windows Update on a previous occasion.

I noticed that .NET Framework 4 Client Profile had the same installation date as the Mouse and Keyboard Center, so it is natural to assume that, under the covers, when the Mouse and Keyboard Center was installed, .NET Framework 4 Client Profile was installed as well.  However, I cannot find any online documentation which confirms that the Mouse and Keyboard Center requires .NET Framework 4 Client Profile, and so .NET Framework 4 Client Profile would be installed automatically if it is not already installed.

Can anyone confirm please that the Mouse and Keyboard Center requires .NET Framework 4 Client Profile?
