Bluescreen crash - ntoskrnl.exe - MyPassport external drive

I recently bought an external drive (WD My Passport) onto which I successfully backed up my PC. However, after a couple of weeks of using the drive, my PC has started to bluescreen crash. I believe that this may be related to the drive. The first couple of times this happened I restored my computer back a couple of days, and after going back a Restore Point at a time, eventually this appeared to fix it. However, the latest time it crashed (see details below), I just unplugged the drive, and rebooted, and the PC hasn't crashed.

Here are the details of the crash:

Please let me know if you need any further details/specifics. Do you think that the drive is the potential cause? If so, could you suggest how I might be able to potentially fix it, without the PC crashing again?

Many thanks.

Alan
